Fry Club Colts v Bradley Stoke Youth – Sunday 28th September 2008

Match Report Game 1:

For the 2nd week on the trot the sun was shining.  This was always going to be a harder test than last week having played against Bradley Stoke in tournaments and so it proved.  We asked the team to work had to get the ball back and try and pass it when we do have it.  Bradley Stoke were well organised and had some good players.  Although we started well especially with Marvin proving a tower of strength in defence, trying to protect our goalkeeper, and with Finn making his debut which he did well. Unfortunately we didn’t get the goal our efforts deserved, Bradley Stoke passed the ball well and went on to record a 4-0 win in the 1st game.

Match Report Game 2:

Again this game had a similar start to the first game.  We started well again with Marvin carrying on from the 1st game and with Callum and Ellis getting more involved, but still found ourselves a goal down before halftime.  We were soon level though and good team move finished off by a long range shot by Mitchell.  Jiggs got his second goal of the season with a little chip over the goalkeeper to win the second game for Frys 2-1.  Good effort was put by all of the team and we would like to wish Bradley Stoke all the best for the rest of the season.

We now look forward to next week’s game, home to Shire Colts.
